SHAUN SCOTT

Managing Director & CEO

Shaun Scott is an experienced independent non-executive director on publicly listed and private company boards. Mr Scott’s board experience includes non-executive director roles in the resources sector, training and education, alternative waste technology and the services industries.

As an executive, Mr Scott was CEO of Arrow Energy Ltd and was instrumental in taking this business from a $20 million coal seam gas explorer to a significant gas and energy producer and leader in the development of Queensland’s LNG industry until Arrow’s $3.5 billion acquisition by Shell and Petro-China in 2010.

Mr Scott is a Chartered Accountant, whose corporate career involved financing, commercial and M&A activities in the mining, resources and energy sectors in Australia, the United States and Asia, negotiating and closing many billions of dollars of transactions. At the board level Shaun has operated as Chairman and Non-Executive Director of several publicly listed companies and chaired numerous board sub-committees. Shaun has specific expertise and experience in business strategy, financing, negotiations, financial and risk management, executive remuneration, governance, and safety leadership.

JUSTYN WOOD

A petroleum geophysicist and highly successful explorer, Justyn Wood brings more than 25 years of E&P industry experience to Noble Helium.

Mr Wood has an outstanding track record of value creation with a global career in technical and managerial roles with majors and super-majors Chevron and Repsol and at juniors Hardman Resources and Jacka Resources Australia.

He has designed and executed numerous international frontier exploration projects and is recognised as having played key roles in unlocking the then frontier petroleum provinces of the East African Rift and the Guyana basins of NE South America.

As a proven contrarian opportunity finder and highly successful explorer, Mr Wood became aware of the importance of helium and the potential for a Tier-1 helium resource in the East African Rift System. Following extensive research, he has committed his full attention to applying his skills and experience in securing the global supply chain of this critical, high-value, rare and unique, technology-enabling gas.

Prof. ANDREW GARNETT

Non-Executive Chairman

Prof. Garnett has recently retired as the Director of the University of Queensland’s research Centre for Natural Gas (CNG), where he was working closely with the main LNG project proponents in Queensland, Australia. The Centre aims to be a leading provider of a wide range of technical and social science research services in this unconventional sector. He is also research Director of the University’s Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage Program.

Prof. Garnett is a former non-executive Director of National Energy Resources Australia, an Australian government industry growth initiative and a former reviewer for natural gas for the IEA’s World Energy Outlook series. He is a current non-executive Director of the Australian Gas Industry Trust.

A former Shell and Schlumberger executive, Prof. Garnett has over 25 years’ world-wide experience with oil majors in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon exploration, appraisal and development projects.

He has worked with the Queensland government, Petroleum and Gas Inspectorate on Well Construction Codes and Health and Safety and with Industry on Well Integrity Modelling.

Prof. Garnett is considered by the Board to be an independent Director.

EDDIE KING

Non-Executive Director

Mr King holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Systems) from The University of Western Australia.

Mr King’s experience includes being manager for an investment banking firm, where he specialised in the technical and financial analysis of bulk commodity and other resource projects for investment and acquisition.

He is also a director of CPS Capital Group, one of Australia’s most active stockbroking and corporate advisory firms specialising in small to medium high growth companies.

Mr King is currently on the board of Rubix Resources Ltd (ASX: RB6), Ragnar Metals Ltd (ASX: RAG), Bindi Metals Ltd (ASX: BIM), Eastern Resources Ltd (ASX: EFE), Great Northern Minerals (ASX: GNM), M3 Mining Ltd (ASX: M3M) and Queensland Pacific Metals Ltd (ASX: QPM).

Mr King is considered by the Board to be an independent Director.

Greg Columbus

Non-Executive Director

Mr Columbus has over 30 years of experience in Energy, and Oil & Gas including technical, commercial, executive, and non-executive roles. He is an experienced company Director with commercial, strategy, corporate finance, and legal experience. During this time, he has gained valuable business experience in delivering large, complex energy and oil & gas projects and has throughout the course of his career, also demonstrated strong strategic vision in leadership roles.

Greg has also been involved in numerous M&A activities, most recently as the Independent Non-executive Chairman of Warrego Energy.

Mr Columbus is considered by the board to be an independent Director.

Dermot O’Keeffe

Mr O’Keeffe has 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, working internationally for major operators, including Texaco, BP, Sun Oil, Shell, Woodside, Premier Oil, and Ophir Energy. In 1999, he founded IPS (Australasia), a professional services firm providing engineering, management and operational solutions to exploration, appraisal, and development drilling and completion projects in Australia, Africa, and south-east Asia in onshore, offshore, and deep-water operations.

After IPS’ acquisition by Norwegian Add Energy Group in 2011, Mr O’Keefe continued with the company as COO until 2019.

Prior to joining Noble Helium full-time, Mr O’Keeffe provided management and engineering consulting services to Noble Helium and several companies in the oil and gas and minerals industries.

Duncan Cornish
Chartered Accountant
Company Secretary

Mr. Cornish is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience as a public company CFO and Company Secretary. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the accountancy profession including with the accountancy firms Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has extensive experience in all aspects of company financial reporting, corporate regulatory and governance areas, business acquisition and disposal due diligence, initial public offerings and capital raisings and has served as CFO and/or Company Secretary of several Australian and Canadian public companies.

Mr. Cornish is currently CFO and Company Secretary of Ballymore Resources Ltd (ASX:BMR) and Company Secretary of Bowen Coking Coal Ltd (ASX:BCB) and Elementos Ltd (ASX:ELT). He was the founding CFO and Company Secretary for Stanmore Coal Ltd (ASX:SMR), Waratah Coal Ltd (TSX and ASX:WCI), Bow Energy Ltd (ASX:BOW) and Orbis Gold Ltd (ASX:OBS).

Joseph is an accomplished and creative Executive Manager possessing multifaceted experience and proven ability to energize and communicate with the government, mining and resources sector of Government, ministerial and mid management levels, as well as communities effected by mining operations. He has 9 years of executive roles in the mining and resources sectors including over a year with our previous country representatives as their account manager responsible for Rocket Tanzania our Tanzanian subsidiary.

Joseph now joins us as our Country Representative working directly for our organisation. He is a results-oriented, decisive leader, adept at forging lucrative relationships with key partners, vendors and clients.

Ashley Howlett

Exploration Manager

Ashley Howlett is an oil and gas geoscientist with exploration drilling and development geology experience in fluvial, deltaic and shallow marine clastic depositional environments. Ashley has over 20 years’ experience and has worked in a variety of roles across exploration, appraisal and development with Schlumberger, Talisman Energy, OMV and Santos.

He has a proven track record in discovering hydrocarbons and has successfully led multidisciplinary exploration programs designed to address, and test, key geologic uncertainties through the planning, acquisition and interpretation of field surveys, seismic and non-seismic data, and drilling wells.

Ashley has the ability to integrate available data into consistent subsurface models, and a background of managing work programs across multiple license areas.
